Payment and loan repayment at the post office – what do you need to know about it?

Bank account loans remain the products most borrowers use most often. This form of payday loan or installment loan is very convenient, because often in 15 minutes additional money goes to the borrower and can be used immediately – to pay bills or buy online. However, not everyone prefers cashless transactions and would prefer to withdraw money in a less virtual way. The problem does not have to be the lack of a bank account – often it is an insufficient level of trust in the service of electronic banking or simply personal preferences. The path to the loan is not closed in this case and the loan companies use different methods of payment (see: How do loan companies pay out money?). One of them is the payment of the loan at the post office.

Unfortunately, not all lenders give us freedom of choice and this service will be available only in non-bank loan companies that have concluded the appropriate agreement with Poczta Polska or Bank Polanka. In this case, the loan is received in cash. Loan companies do not get rid of the regular way of withdrawing money, so if you want the loan to be paid at the post office, you should inform about it in advance. The choice of payment method takes place at the application stage. This is very important, because in many institutions it changes the further loan procedure.

Identity verification – when do you need to do it?

Identity verification - when do you need to do it?

It is not always necessary to have a bank settlement account when choosing a payday loan at the post office. Some loan brands that offer this convenience to their clients require verification of their identity through a bank account. The key is the fact that it is not possible to receive a code to pay the loan without first confirming your details by bank transfer or an external application connecting to the borrower’s electronic banking. Only after this does the loan company turn on the green light and, after the loan is granted, provide the borrower with all necessary data to collect cash at the post office.

We can meet this practice at Aasa, where we will receive a maximum of $ 10,000 in 24-month installments. The procedure for taking out a loan and withdrawing money at the post office is as follows:

  1. We apply for a loan.
  2. We choose the method of payment by GIRO check (we can also choose to pay by ordinary transfer or Manda Cash transfer).
  3. We receive a positive loan decision from Aas.
  4. We verify your identity with a $ 1 transfer via the Manda Media platform.
  5. We sign the loan agreement electronically.
  6. We receive an SMS code from Aas that allows you to pay the loan.
  7. We show the SMS code and ID card at the Poczta Polska office or at Bank Polanka.
  8. We receive cash.

Aasa is rather an exception among loans paid at the post office. In most cases, we don’t need to make a verification transfer or otherwise confirm your identity remotely. It will be done by means of ID card identification either before the postal worker or the courier who provides the contract.

One of such lenders is Viloan, which provides installment loans of $ 15,000 to be repaid within 48 months. The loan procedure with payment at the post office is as follows:

  1. We fill out the loan application.
  2. We choose the payment method using the GIRO check.
  3. We are sending the application.
  4. We receive a positive loan decision from Viloan.
  5. We accept the loan offer and sign the contract.
  6. We receive an SMS code.
  7. We show it at the post office or at Bank Polanka and confirm our identity by means of an ID card.
  8. We collect cash.

Another, but equally simple way of withdrawing money is offered by Bankate, whose offer amounts to $ 10,000 for 24 months. In this company, there is also no need to confirm your identity electronically, but the loan procedure will be longer and a little more complicated:

  1. We fill out the loan application.
  2. We choose the method of withdrawing money using the GIRO check.
  3. We receive a positive decision from Bankate.
  4. We sign the contract in the presence of the courier, have an ID card in front of him and receive a GIRO check from him.
  5. We make a check at the post office or at Bank Polanka.
  6. We receive cash.

The SMS code that the borrower receives is usually valid from the moment it is received, although sometimes it may happen that it becomes active only after 30 minutes. We can implement it at a convenient time for us, limited only by the opening hours of the post office or Bank Polanka. However, you should be careful with its implementation, because the GIRO check loses its validity after 7 days of its receipt. You must also remember that the payment of the loan at the post office is unfortunately not free. The costs of commission and interest will, of course, be the same for all borrowers, and the GIRO check is a one-off cost of several USD.

Repayment of the loan in such a system also does not require having a bank account. All you have to do is go to the post office or Bank Polanka and provide all the details necessary to send the repayment there – all of them can be found in your individual customer profile.
